01 — The product
The edge is the detail people see.
A nosing takes the wear and shows the join, so it has to match the floor exactly and hold its line for years. We machine ours from the same species and finish as your boards, or supply aluminium where traffic makes that the right call.
For commercial flights we can add anti-slip inserts and luminance-contrast strips, and supply the product data your certifier needs with the delivery.

Choosing a profile.
Square
The default for contemporary flights. Crisp shadow line, easiest to match to a square-edge board.
Bullnose
Softer edge for traditional joinery and where children use the stair daily.
Pencil-round
A small radius that takes knocks without reading as traditional — the safe middle ground.
Brass inlay
A thin brass strip set into the nose. Wears beautifully and doubles as contrast on a dark tread.
